Chair restoration

Time for another home project on ye olde blog.
This one is the restoration of a vintage shell back chair we picked up at a garage sale for $20. it is a double seater, double the pleasure, of sitting. It was rough, but turned out all right after a BOAT LOAD of elbow grease. “Sorry kids, I’m fresh out of elbow grease for the month.” The short of it goes like this: Disassembled it, Stripped many layers of paint, had to grind and sand off a lot of surface rust, worked some naval jelly on the rust spots, primed it, painted it yellow, applied an overcoat, wet sanded, polished, buffed. Now the only work that remains is plopping my butt down on it and enjoying some beers in the yard.
